Charlotte Mason Community School

Charlotte Mason Community School is a significant partnership between two Covenant Churches in Detroit, Michigan to address the critical issue of education in Detroit. Messiah Covenant Church has housed and supported the school through its first 10 years. Recently, Citadel of Faith Covenant Church purchased a school building that will provide the school with a larger and more appropriate home. We are in the process of raising funds to get the Citadel building up to state certification in order to move the school in as soon as possible as the current enrollment is stretching the capacity of Messiah building.

This is my favorite school in the whole world! I looked FORWARD to teaching at CMCS each day. It is a JOY simply to be in that school. I started tearing up watching the kids & the teachers. I miss everyone so much. The fabulous part is, this video captures what really happens every day at CMCS. 🙂

The heart of Christ at work in the Body… In its purest form! Praise The Lord!

  3. This is a great ministry with a truly innovative approach to education. I know of no other school that advocates for holistic, Christ-centered and excellent education for children of all backgrounds. This is a critical need across our nation, but especially in Detroit!
