This is a message from Francis Chan encouraging CHIC 2012 students now that they are back home.
Francis, I greatly appreciate you having talked at CHIC 2012. I learned a lot about how to be a true disciple of god through our actions. What means even more to me though, is that you and those who helped post this video cared enough to recap your sermon, to remind us (the students) to follow up with what we learned and to show how you are supporting each and every one of us who went to CHIC. You took the effort to make this video, and it shows that you were not there to simply teach and run, but that you are here to help us as we learn how to stop mixing our mocha with our lemonade. You are a true disciple of Christ, God Bless.
You must have a iron lined stomach to be able to mix cold coffee and lemonade, but what an awsome, hands on, visiual and a memory that will stick with the students forever! I was there as a leader, and I wish I had a speaker like you when I was a youth. I too struggeled with one foot on the sidewalk and the other in the gutter for my four years in high school and my four years in collage. I knew what was right, but I didn’t have someone to hold me accountable, so I continued to mix the two as you would say. I did eventually make the right choice and it was coming to CHIC and reaffirming my faith, that I now hold my head high! Thank you for being who you are and for taking the time to share the word with all of us. Peace be with you.
