“Are We There Yet?”

On Saturday, February 15, 2014 in Madison, WI nearly 550 people gathered to discuss racial disparities in their community. The meeting was a followup to the personal essay by Alex Gee entitled “Justified Anger,” which ran in the Capital Times newspaper on December 18, 2013. The meeting took place at Fountain of Life Covenant Church, where Alex is pastor. This is a portion of Alex’s speech, where he delivers an excerpt from his poem, “Are We There Yet?”
